The Vixens had built a three-goal lead during Power 5 in the final quarter before Jhaniele Fowler (two) and Sasha Glasglow (one) scored three supershots to give the Fever a one-goal lead.
Enter Austin, who scored the Vixens only super shot of the quarter to secure the points.

The Vixens built a four-goal lead going into Power 5 on the back of some Fever turnovers.
Glasglow scored two super shots to level the scores before the Vixens forced another turnover to lead by two goals at the first break.
Q2: WCF 35 | VIX 37
The second quarter was like the first as the Vixens again took advantage of Fever turnovers to build a four-goal lead going into the super shot period.
A third super shot for the quarter from Glasglow drew the Fever level. Before Mwai Kumwenda sank one of her own on the buzzer to give the Vixens a two-goal advantage.
Wing Attack Alice Teague-Neeld was influential in the first half with 16 Feeds and 14 Goal Assists. While Glasglow shot five super shots from six attempts and Jhaniele Fowler had 23 goals at 100 per cent.

Fever started with a new energy and were able to wrestle the lead off the Vixens early in the quarter on the back of increased defensive pressure.
Captain Courtney Bruce was a standout in Fever’s comeback with four Gains, one Intercept and two Deflections for the quarter. Jess Anstiss was also important after she moved into Centre, collecting a Gain and an Intercept.
Glasglow added another two super shots to her collection as the Fever won the quarter 19-16 to lead by one goal at the final change.
Q4: WCF 73 | VIX 74
Goals went on centre pass for the start of the quarter as both teams tried to find a way to gain control of the contest.
Scores were level going into the Power 5 and then the Vixens were able to build a three-goal buffer before Fowler drained two super shots to get the Fever back in the contest.
Glasglow scored her eighth super shot of the match to give the Fever a one-goal before Austin secured the win.
