Since joining Fever in 2022 as a training partner, Zoe has played five games during that period, including one game in 2024 against the Sunshine Coast Lightning.
The move to include Zoe means Fever will have two sets of sisters in their 2025 Squad with Zoe joining twin sister Jordan and the Aryang sisters, Ruth and Sunday.
Zoe said: “I’m really excited for the opportunity to be the 11th player next year. Although nothing is guaranteed, I’m excited to have stepped up from my role as a training partner and I am looking forward to the possibility of playing more in the 2025 season.
“I think being able to be fully immersed in the environment next year will be such a valuable learning experience, both on and off the court. I’ve loved being a training partner but I am really excited to be fully involved in everything and will be ready for whatever opportunity comes my way.
“I really want to challenge all of the girls as much as I can next year in the training environment. I think the added motivation of possibly being picked in the game day team will push me and the team to be the best we can be.
“We have such a talented group again this year and I’m really excited to show everyone what we can do in 2025.”
West Coast Fever Head Coach Dan Ryan said: “Zoe is one of the most diligent, committed and skilful netballers I’ve ever worked with and has absolutely earned this opportunity.
“She’s been with us since 2022 and each year she’s made significant improvements and done everything asked of her to ensure she’s ready to take the next step.
“Zoe adds so much depth and versatility to our mid court and I know she’ll be pushing hard for her game day opportunities. She’s in the best form of her life right now and I know she’s going to be hugely valuable asset to our team in 2025.”
The Nominated Athlete Upgrade (11th player) allows clubs to sign an additional athlete who can be brought into the match day squad for tactical purposes throughout the season, not just in the case of injury or illness to a contracted athlete.
The Club will finalise its remaining training partner positions in early 2025.
