Zoe Cransberg began the 2026 season on a permanent replacement player contract, a well-earned elevation after previously being named as an 11th player and a training partner in years prior. In a heartbreaking setback, a foot injury ruled her out of the pre-season campaign and the first three matches of the year.
The setback did not stop Zoe, who worked incredibly hard through her rehabilitation while continuing to support her teammates from the sidelines before making her return in Round 4.
She went on to play 13 games, recording eight intercepts, 11 deflections and 146 assists. Her standout performance came in the crucial Round 14 match-up against the Melbourne Vixens, with hosting rights for a home final on the line.
The final quarter featured a five-goal Super Shot blitz from the Vixens, setting up a tense finish.
Just as it looked like Fever would claim the win but fall short of securing hosting rights for the Minor Semi Final, Cransberg produced a match-sealing moment.
She intercepted the ball in the dying stages and delivered it to teammates on the circle edge, allowing Fever to wind down the clock before Aiken-George scored in the final second.
Off the court, Cransberg spent the off-season completing practical placement for her physiotherapy degree, as well as enjoying some well-deserved travel.
After years of hard work, Cransberg has earned her first full-time contract for the 2027 season. Want to see Zoe live? Grab your membership now.
