Beckford spent 2026 back home in Jamaica, continuing to hone her craft and showing, through her Commonwealth Games performances, that she is only getting better.
She featured in the Ristrip Flavours Elite League, where her team, Manchester Supers, secured the championship.
Beckford also competed in the Netball Jamaica League, helping Tivoli A to a third-place finish.
Much of her year was also spent training with the Sunshine Girls in preparation for the Commonwealth Games. The Jamaican vice-captain became an integral member of the silver medal-winning side, with her performances earning widespread praise.
One of Beckford’s standout moments came in the gold medal match, where she showcased the work rate and composure that make her such a powerful presence. Connecting the midcourt and shooting circle with ease, she finished with 16 goals from 18 attempts at 89 per cent accuracy, along with 18 feeds, 18 centre pass receives, five pickups and just two turnovers.
West Coast Fever are thrilled to welcome Beckford back for the 2027 season. Green Army, are you ready to Unite in Green? Memberships are available now.
