After months of negotiations, the agreement was completed this morning, and the Player Contracting Window will open later today at 1pm WST and close at 2pm WST on Tuesday 19 December 2023. Teams can sign training partners from Monday 8 January 2024.
In addition to the CPA being finalised, all eight Clubs have also agreed to new Team License Agreements which are perpetual in their nature.
West Coast Fever Chief Executive Officer Simone Hansen said the finalisation of the two agreements was an important moment for the league, clubs and players.
“Firstly, I want to thank our sponsors, partners and Green Army members for their patience and unwavering support during this period. While I am sure everyone would have preferred the negotiations to have been completed earlier, knowing we had support of our fans and sponsors has been crucial,” she said.
Hansen said the perpetual nature of the Club’s new Team License Agreement was important for the future of Fever.
“West Coast Fever is excited to continue to compete in the best netball league in the world. The finalisation of the Team License Agreement is great news for the long term future of our sport as it provides certainty and clarity for all stakeholders.
“We are locked into Suncorp Super Netball for the long term and that is something the Green Army should be extremely excited about.
“While these negotiations have been occurring, we have been working hard behind the scenes to secure an amazing team for 2024, which we cannot wait to share with everyone.
“Our commitment is to make announcements as soon as all the boxes have been ticked from a compliance and competition perspective.”
