West Coast Fever thanks Olivia Lewis for her contribution to the club following confirmation that the young defender will be pursuing an opportunity at another club for the 2022 Suncorp Super Netball Season.
West Coast Fever wishes Olivia every success as she explores this opportunity and continues to grow as an athlete.
Lewis joined West Coast Fever as a training partner in 2017 and was a member of Western Sting’s Australian Netball League championship-winning team, before making her SSN debut in Round 1 of the 2019 season. She has played 27 games since at Goal Keeper and Goal Defence.
West Coast Fever Assistant Coach Belinda Reynolds said Lewis was a well-respected and popular teammate, who’s positive attitude and commitment had been outstanding.
“Liv is always striving to improve herself as a player and a person and I know she will be a great asset to another club.”
“I will certainly remain among her biggest fans, wherever she ends up playing in the future,” Reynolds said.
Lewis thanked West Coast Fever for the opportunity and said she was looking forward to the next chapter of her professional netball career.
“I am really grateful for the opportunity given to me as a 19-year-old and the support of West Coast Fever and the wider netball community in WA,” Lewis said.
“I feel like I’ll always be part of the Fever family, but I’m really excited for this opportunity and the next step of my netball journey.”
