West Coast Fever athletes, Courtney Bruce, Verity Charles and Jhaniele Fowler have donated their 2021 Indigenous Round dresses to help support Aboriginal girls and women in regional and remote communities.
The signed dresses have been framed and are available to bid on via an online auction with funds raised contributing to a cultural reward camp for Fever’s official charity partner, Shooting Stars.
The Suncorp Super Netball Indigenous Round saw West Coast Fever take out a thrilling one-goal win against the Giants in front of a WA home crowd.
Designed by Noongar artists, Peter Farmer and Kylie Graham, the dress features seven circular symbols representing the seven players on the court gathering or coming together and the unpredictable path water weaves throughout the landscape.
Long-standing Shooting Stars Ambassadors, Bruce, Charles and Fowler have provided great role models for Shooting Stars participants, inspiring them to aim high and chase their dreams.
