The Reserves will take on the Melbourne Mavericks this Sunday, 22 June at Waverley Netball Centre in Melbourne at 12:15pm WST.
The Super Netball Reserves competition was established in 2024, and its second year has included an inaugural finals series, which Fever will bypass after finishing on top.
In their undefeated efforts, Fever have travelled to Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney to face the best athletes on the cusp of Suncorp Super Netball.
Fever and the Mavericks have faced once before this season in Round Two when Fever snuck away with a three-goal win in the final moments of a thrilling game.
From the Coach
Head Coach Guy Keane said finishing the regular season undefeated is an incredible achievement and a testament to the squad’s commitment, consistency and resilience across the season.
“Reaching the first official Grand Final for the Reserves is a special milestone—not just for me personally, but for everyone involved in the program,” he said.
Turning his attention to the Mavericks, Keane said the focus is to execute Fever standards and to stay locked in both physically and mentally.
“Mavericks bring a high level of defensive intensity that can force their opposition into errors,” he said.
“Defensively, we’ll continue to refine our team structures, work together to grind through challenging moments, apply sustained pressure, and be brave in the moments that matter.”
Keep an eye on
If you need someone to keep an eye on this Sunday, Keane said West Coast Fever Training Partners Caitlyn Brown and Sloan Burton will get your attention, both players bring high-level intensity and impact to the court.
With plenty of local talent, the West Australian 21/U World Youth Cup Squad cohort of Scarlet Jauncey, Clara Wigley and Jasmah Haywood are all young athletes who have continued to grow in confidence and will be influential in big moments.
