UWA, led by West Coast Fever young gun Liv Lewis, have been crowned the 2021 Corporate Netball Challenge Champions.
It was a slow start as UWA and the AngloGold Ashanti Lions battled it out for the championship title, but UWA soon found their form with a strong second half securing them a six-goal victory, 11-5.
The 2021 edition attracted 16 teams, firmly cementing it as one of Perth’s premier team-building and corporate days.
Participants were treated to an afternoon of netball and a sundowner at the Gold Netball Centre, with the event again proudly supported by PKF Perth.
The event also saw West Coast Fever donate $2 per goal scored across the day to the Lord Mayor’s Distress Relief Fund, totalling $1,150.
West Coast Fever General Manager (Pathways & Performance), Sue Gaudion, said it was another successful edition of the event.
“The Corporate Netball Challenge is a wonderful opportunity for us to host the West Australian corporate community in a relaxed setting,” Gaudion said.
“The day is fun and unique, and it’s fantastic for our players to be involved with our corporate community.”
“We were also proud to make a donation to the Lord Mayor’s Distress Relief Fund. Our thoughts are with those affected by the recent bushfires, and we hope our donation can make a small difference in some way.”
