West Coast Fever is excited to announce Tracey Swami will be joining the Club as Pathway Coach, to lead the development and implementation of an integrated talent development pathway.
The role will contribute to high-performance strategies for the sport and play a lead role in developing a highly integrated athlete pathway that delivers high performance outcomes for netball in Western Australia.
Swami has an extensive netball background, representing WA playing for both the Orioles and West Coast Fever and developing her coaching skills at a number of Clubs in the Gold Industry Group West Australian Netball League over the years.
No stranger to the Netball WA organisation, Swami was previously employed as a Development Officer back in 2004 and was also appointed last year as the Western Sting Assistant Coach, however this was placed on hold due to the impacts of COVID-19.
West Coast Fever Assistant Coach, Belinda Reynolds said the Club is excited to have Swami join the coaching team.
“Tracey has a great understanding of the Netball WA pathway through her previous experience as both athlete and coach,” said Reynolds.
“She has a great rapport with athletes and coaches within our state and I look forward to her continuing to evolve these connections to develop our talent.”
