Teague-Neeld made the big move to Western Australia in 2019 to join Fever after playing for both the Melbourne Vixens (2015-16) and Collingwood Magpies (2017-18).
In Round 11, Fever achieved a record equalling ninth consecutive win. With full focus on the season, Teague-Neeld said she hadn’t even realised the milestone was upcoming.
“I didn’t realise it was coming up but I’m very excited now,” Teague Neeld said.
Despite being born and raised in Victoria, Teague-Neeld said Western Australia is now home.
“WA has become my home, I didn’t even realise I had been here so long, but I love it here and this season has been great with the girls,” Teague-Neeld said.
“Being at Fever and just WA in general is such a great place to live and the Green Army have really embraced me.”
Teague-Neeld is one of the four remaining athletes from the maiden 2022 premiership side, which she credits as her most cherished moment with Fever.
“My favourite memory is definitely the premiership in 2022 and hopefully we’re on track for another one this year.”
West Coast Fever Head Coach Dan Ryan said Alice is an integral, key member of the team.
“Her roles, responsibilities and presence has just grown year on year, and I think she’s having her best season so far,” Ryan said.
“Her composure and leadership out on the court as our vice-captain has been awesome, she’s certainly one of the best Wing Attacks in the world and we’re really lucky to have her.”
Alice and the team will travel for the final time this regular season to face the Lightning on the Sunshine Coast this Saturday. Watch Fever battle for their record tenth win on Kayo Sports, Foxtel or Binge.
