Fever have faced four of the last five games on the road and are thrilled to be back at RAC Arena in front of the passionate Green Army as they hurtle towards a ninth straight win.
In Round 10, Fever ticked off their another win, holding off the super shot prowess of Melbourne Mavericks Sasha Glasgow and Uneeq Palavi to win by six goals.
Despite beating the Queensland Firebirds by seven goals last week, the Adelaide Thunderbirds are sitting at fifth place on the ladder and will be fighting desperately for their spot in finals.
Last time they met in Round Six, Fever beat the reigning premiers on their home court by six goals in a defensive masterclass.
Head-to-Head
Sunshine Girls will go head-to-head at both ends of the court on Friday night. Thunderbird Romelda Aiken-George shot at a 94 per cent accuracy rate last week, a repeat performance won’t be easy against Kadie-Ann Dehaney, who found seven deflections last time they faced.
In the mid-court, Thunderbirds captain Hannah Petty will be focused on putting a stop to the impressive feeding capabilities of Jordan Cransberg. Cransberg managed 25 Feeds to her name compared to Petty’s 12 in Round Six.
With years of experience as International teammates, all eyes will be on Latanya Wilson to see how she comes up against the GOAT, Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard. Wilson stepped into the traditional Goal Keeper role of Shamera Sterling-Humphrey in Round Six and notched five deflections, but she couldn’t contain Fowler-Nembhard’s 96 per cent accuracy.

Head Coach Dan Ryan said the Thunderbirds are in a position where they’re going to have to bring their best to keep their top four aspirations alive.
“They’re going to be a real great challenge for us, and we just can’t wait to get on the court at RAC Arena to kick off the Green Army’s weekend the right way,” he said.
“We need to be aware of where their threats and weaponry lies, we want to be better than what we were against them last time.”
