Fever will host the Queensland Firebirds (12 May), Adelaide Thunderbirds (18 May) and Melbourne Vixens (26 May) all at RAC Arena in a 14-day window. The Vixens match will also be the Club’s First Nations Round Home Game and a chance for the Green Army to see Fever’s new Indigenous Dress.
Either side of the three-home game window, Fever will play back-to-back away games, firstly against the Melbourne Mavericks and NSW Swifts and then against the Sunshine Coast Lightning and Thunderbirds.
The Club will begin their campaign on the road against the Giants in Sydney before their first home game against the Lightning on Sunday 21 April at RAC Arena.
Fever will round out the season with a home game in Round 14 against the league’s newest franchise, the Mavericks. The fixture also delivers the Club five of their seven home games on a Sunday afternoon.
Chief Executive Officer Simone Hansen said the fixture struck a good balance for all clubs and encouraged the Green Army to get behind the Fever in 2024.
“Three home games in a row early in the season is an amazing opportunity for the Green Army to get right behind our new-look team. The added bonus is our fans get five Sunday afternoon home games which is their preferred time slot to attend RAC Arena to watch us do battle,” Hansen said.
“West Coast Fever has the best game day experience in the league, last year we had a record membership, record home game attendance and a record season attendance so we want to build on that momentum next season.”
Coach Dan Ryan said: “There’s always plenty of challenges in a season fixture with all the lengthy travel required but we‘re well accustomed to that now, so we’ll be ready to embrace every challenge thrown our way next season.
“Extended time on the road together will be really valuable for us as we build new connections and relationships on and off the court. We are going to be learning so much about each other as the season unfolds and it’s something we are all really looking forward to.
“Our home games at RAC Arena in front of the amazing Green Army are going to be so important to us. We can’t wait to showcase our exciting new look team and bring to life the ferocious Fever way again. There’s so much to be excited by in 2024 and we are so inspired to see what we can achieve together.”
