The 2022 Grand Final MVP returns to Fever after two seasons with the Melbourne Mavericks and hopes being back in the Fever environment will see a return to the form she showed during her first stint in green.
“It’s so good to be back. It instantly feels like home,” Glasgow said.
“There's so many good things that are different, but so many familiar faces and just feeling like I've slipped back into the fold.”
Glasgow said a major part of wanting to return to Fever was that the environment and Perth had brought out the best in her netball on and off the court.
“I think I played my best netball when I was here at Fever and I wanted to get back to that. I know what the environment can do for me and hopefully I can repay that tenfold now that I'm back.”
With the season starting early due to the Commonwealth Games, Glasgow said she was excited for the early start when Fever take on the Sunshine Coast Lightning in Round One at RAC Arena.
“It's a little bit of a tighter preseason turn around but I am just looking forward to getting back with the girls,” she said.
“Obviously I thought I was playing with Jhaniele, now I am playing with Romelda and then also growing my connection with Liv. I'm really excited for that little trio dynamic to get going.
“I’m looking forward to getting my fitness back up and just knowing where that Fever standard is and how amazing I felt being in this environment and getting myself back in my best shape.”
Glasgow returns from the holiday break after three months in the England Roses camp alongside Fever teammate Fran Williams and Assistant Coach Sharni Layton.
She said she loved her time with the Roses and what it was able to do for her netball.
“I love the Roses and I love my time there. I love the girls. I think the facilities are amazing.
“Obviously, I enjoy being on the other side of the world, but any international netball that I play, whether it's exposure against New Zealand, the recent exposure against Jamaica, it's all amazing for my netball,” she said.
“Hopefully, I can bring a little bit of that back into the Fever environment and also it was just an extra special moment being there with Fran.”
After three months in the cold, Glasgow did join her Fever teammates for a few sessions before the break to help acclimate to the different conditions.
“I had a little dip of pre-season before we went on Christmas break and it was really nice to get a bit of a taste. Just hopping off a plane and getting involved with the girls.”
