Ruth Aryang’s 2026 season was defined by resilience, patience and a determination to work her way back onto court. After spending much of the pre-season and early rounds pushing through her rehab, Aryang remained a strong presence within the group, supporting her teammates while continuing to build toward her return.
Her comeback arrived in Round 7, marking her first SSN appearance in more than a year. From there, Aryang went on to play 10 games across the 2026 season, adding important defensive depth and energy to the Fever line-up.
Across the season, Aryang recorded seven intercepts, 18 deflections and five rebounds, with her ability to contest ball and apply pressure continuing to be a valuable part of her game. Two of her strongest performances came late in the year, including Round 13, where she finished with one rebound, one intercept and five deflections.
She also made an impact in the Semi Final, producing one rebound, two intercepts and four deflections in a composed defensive display. It was another reminder of the hard work she had put in behind the scenes to return to match play and contribute when it mattered.
Following the season, Aryang made the most of the off-season with a well-earned trip through Europe, taking time to wind down and reset before returning for pre-season in November.
Ready to take on her first full season, Ruth Aryang will be a force in 2027.
