West Coast Fever’s Round 9 Suncorp Super Netball fixture against NSW Swifts has been confirmed for 1pm EST Sunday, July 4 at John Cain Arena in Melbourne.
Netball Australia has advised that the game will be played under quarantine conditions and will be closed to fans as a result of both teams entering Victoria from states where COVID-19 lock-downs are in place.
The game will be televised live on Channel 9.
West Coast Fever departed Perth last night for Melbourne to play the Round 9 game against the Swifts, which was originally scheduled to take place in Sydney this Saturday, July 3.
The Swifts relocated to Victoria yesterday along with the GIANTS, Sunshine Coast Lightning and Queensland Firebirds.
West Coast Fever is monitoring the ongoing COVID-19 situation and its impact on the Suncorp Super Netball competition and will continue working with the league and fellow clubs on scheduling for upcoming rounds.
It is hoped that the situation in Perth improves within the timeline laid out by the WA Government so that the Club can return home to play its remaining home fixtures at RAC Arena.
