The team and I are absolutely pumped to be back home at RAC Arena for Round Five!
Our Easter Sunday clash with the Swifts was a pretty good way to spend the long weekend, showing real depth and versatility across the court in our 20-goal win.
It was fantastic to see Zoe back on court after a couple of months on the sidelines, and what a game she had.
It’s often crazy to think that Romelda was heading into retirement last year when she keeps going out there and breaking her own scoring record, what an epic game she had on Sunday with 67 goals.
With Zoe now back on court, I want to take the time to thank Club legend Verity Simmons for stepping in across the pre-season and these first couple of rounds. Vez will be continuing with us throughout the season as a Training Partner and will be ready to don the Green Dress if required!
Round Five is a milestone moment for two athletes, congratulations to Romelda on 250 National League Games and Sasha on her 50th game for the Club.
Round Five is a new week, and we know with the Firebirds coming off their first win for a long time, they’ll be hungry for more.
With a mix of experience and youth, they should not be underestimated as they enter our home fortress.
