The Situation
The stakes are high in this top-of-the table clash, with the Minor Premiership and a spot in next week’s Major Semi-Final up for grabs.
With top-four teams Fever, Giants, NSW Swifts and Sunshine Coast Lightning all locked on equal points heading into this final round of home and away fixtures, the winners of both matches will finish in the top two and earn a place in the Major Semi-Final.

Courtney Bruce v Jo Harten
Fever Captain Courtney Bruce has been in career-best form this season and was instrumental in defence during the Round 5 clash against Giants earlier this season with six gains and four intercepts.
Her battle with Giants’ shooter Jo Harten will be pivotal, with Harten putting on an impressive shooting display in the last encounter against Fever with nine super-shots from 13 attempts to keep her side in the contest.
Jhaniele Fowler v Sam Poolman
Fowler was the match-winner in the last meeting between the two, receiving a penalty on the final siren to secure Fever’s one-goal victory in front of more than 4500 screaming Green Army fans.
Fowler finished the game with 55 goals from 56 attempts and has continued her impressive form in the shooting circle this season to sit at the top of the leader board with 733 goals. Poolman, who is an excellent match-up for Fowler in terms of size and strength, will be aiming to limit her influence on the outcome of this game.
