The Situation
West Coast Fever and the NSW Swifts will meet in the penultimate round of the season in Sydney, with both looking to cement their positions on the ladder heading into finals.
Fever can seal a top-two finish with a win, while the Swifts currently sit one win out of the top four and will be fighting hard to keep their finals hopes alive.
Moments to Watch
Both teams will be wearing unique dresses designed by First Nations artists in what is the second week of Suncorp Super Netball’s First Nations Round.
West Coast Fever’s dress design was created by Noongar artists Peter Farmer and Kylie Graham and features Aboriginal women’s symbols to represent each member of the playing squad alongside a series of significant waterholes in Whadjuk Country.
The Swifts dress was designed by Tarsha Hawley, a former QBE Swifts Academy athlete and current Netball NSW Premier League player. It is centred around coolamons as they were traditional carrying vessels used by First Nations Women.
