The Situation
West Coast Fever will be aiming for their first win over the Giants since a thrilling one-goal victory the last time the two sides met at RAC Arena in Round 5 last season.
Since that win on their home court, the Fever have suffered narrow away losses to the Giants, with only 6 goals in total separating the sides across all three of their most recent encounters.
Fever will enter the contest looking to bounce back from a defeat to the Melbourne Vixens on Tuesday night, while the Giants will be aiming to continue their momentum following a 9-goal win over the Magpies on Wednesday night.
Moments to Watch
Zoe Cransberg and Chelsea Pitman were both elevated from Fever’s extended squad as temporary replacement players last time they met the Giants.
Both have been named again as Jess Anstiss recovers from a foot injury and Rudi Ellis remains unavailable due to Covid Health and Safety Protocols.
It will be Pitman’s third game in a row for Fever after being elevated against the Lightning and Vixens, where she used her experience at Wing Attack to have a positive influence on Fever’s avenue to the attacking circle.
Cransberg has shown her ability at Centre for Fever since making her debut against the Giants and will be better for the experience if she is required to take the court in Round 11.
