Green Army,
How good is it to be back at RAC Arena for Friday Night Netty! We hope we can kick start your weekend the right way!
It’s no easy feat to be on the road for four games out of five, but I’m so proud of how the squad have taken on the challenge, and it makes coming home to the Green Army even more special.
Tonight is a Sunshine Girls’ takeover, so we know we’re in for a huge game thanks to the competitive and friendly rivalry the Jamaicans bring to Suncorp Super Netball.
Across the board the squad have been working incredibly hard, our defensive unit of Sunday Aryang, Kadie-Ann Dehaney and Fran Williams were essential to holding off the super shot capabilities of the Melbourne Mavericks last week.
Our Round 10 MVP Alice Teague-Neeld has been a steady, consistent and reliable performer for us in that Wing Attack role, composed in doing her job in both attack and defence.
Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard continues to set the standard across the League, but I’m also impressed with how Shanice Beckford and Olivia Wilkinson have stepped up in the goal circle.
The reigning premiers are not going to go down easily tonight. They are fighting for that fourth spot, they’re hungry and determined to get the win and it’s something we’re going to have to withstand.
Whether you’ve taken your team or come with friends or family, I hope you enjoy your Friday night Feeling the Fever!
