Anstiss v Mundy
The mid-court rivalry is incredibly fierce between Fever and the Vixens, both sides have strong line-ups which are often the difference between the control of the game.
Fever’s captain Jess Anstiss has spent much of the season in Wing Defence, making her likely opponent Hannah Mundy in Wing Attack.
In her Major Semi Final, Mundy came away with 25 feeds, an intercept and a pickup, a high level of attack to rival Anstiss’ ability in defence.
Anstiss has also spent minutes in centre during the later end of the season and could find herself up against fellow captain Kate Moloney, an explosive match up to keep an eye on.
Aryang v Austin
Sunday Aryang had a stellar game last time the two sides met in Round 13, taking home three intercepts and three deflections, keeping Kiera Austin on her toes.
Austin scored 25 goals from her 33 attempts, as Aryang kept her at bay alongside defensive partners Fran Williams and Kadie Ann-Dehaney.
Austin will need to work extra hard to get around the defensive wall that is the Fever trio.
Fowler-Nembhard v Ellis
The two former West Coast Fever premiership teammates have been a fascinating pair to watch throughout the season, knowing each other’s styles of play well.
Fowler-Nembhard finished the regular season topping the ladder in Nissan Net Points, goals and goal attempts.
She managed a 98 per cent shooting accuracy last time they met, only missing one goal across the match, proof she is not an easy opponent to rattle.
Ellis’ long reach has made her a tough opponent in goals this season, often able to reach for ball when other players may not.
