The young midcourter has been a standout in the pathway for a number of seasons, representing WA in both the 17/U and 19/U State Teams, as well as earning national selection in the 19/U Team.
She was selected in the 2024 Netball Australia 21/U squad before rupturing her ACL during the 2025 Gold Industry Group WA Netball League season.
Wigley has worked tirelessly throughout her rehabilitation to return to the court, with Head Coach Dan Ryan praising her resilience and commitment.
“Clara is one of the most exciting young talents in our West Australian pathway, and we are so thrilled to see her back on court and officially ready to start her Super Netball journey with Fever next season,” he said.
“We’ve been tracking her progress for several years now, as she’s been one of the most consistent and impactful performers at State underage and Super Netball Reserves level. We see great potential in her and I’m really looking forward to supporting her development over the next 12 months.
“Clara can cover all three mid court positions and is a really well-rounded athlete. She has incredible athleticism and skill, but most importantly has the right attitude and work ethic to challenge herself against the best.”
Wigley said she is incredibly excited for this opportunity.
“It's always been a dream of mine coming through the West Australian pathway to be involved in the West Coast Fever environment,” she said.
“I have had such amazing support from this club over the years, but especially this past year during my ACL rehab and being fully backed during my return to play journey, I am so grateful.
West Coast Fever will announce their final training partner position and 11th Player closer to the start of the 2027 Super Netball season.
