The Situation
West Coast Fever return to RAC Arena for just their fifth home game since 2019 to meet the Sunshine Coast Lightning in this Round 1 Suncorp Super Netball clash.
The Lightning will enter the contest with a new-look line-up to that which pulled off an upset win on Fever’s home court in Round 10 last year, with 2021 captain Karla Pretorius the most notable departure.
West Coast Fever’s side remains unchanged from last season with the exception of former Firebird Rudi Ellis at the defensive end.
The most recent game between the two sides was last season’s Semi Final, which saw Fever claim a 75-67 win over their Queensland based opponents in Brisbane.

West Coast Fever head coach Dan Ryan will enter RAC Arena in front of the Green Army for his first Suncorp Super Netball game for the club.
Midcourt star Jess Anstiss is set to play her first game as Vice Captain after being appointed to support Captain Courtney Bruce this season.
New recruit Rudi Ellis is poised to make her debut for Fever after signing on for the 2022 season, should she take the court in Round 1.
