Speaking at the Club’s Season Launch this morning, West Coast Fever General Manager Sue Gaudion said Fowler-Nembhard reconnected with the Club in the past week.
“Jhaniele has expressed her desire to re-enter the Fever Environment with a view to possibly making return to the court at some stage in 2025,” Gaudion said.
“Jhaniele will work gradually through a program and there will certainly not be any pressure from the Club, Dan or myself for her to comeback by a certain date.
“She will return to the court in her own time when she is ready, both in a physical sense but also mentally.
“We will continue to support Jhaniele through this next phase and we hope that her love and passion for netball and West Coast Fever can have a positive effect on her after what has been a very difficult and trying time for her and her family.”
Gaudion said there was no specific timeframe on Jhaniele’s potential return to the court.
“The Club has been proactively working with Netball Australia to ensure if/when Jhaniele is ready to return to play, that can be implemented and everyone is in a position to make that happen.
“Until then, it is business as usual as we prepare for the Swifts at RAC Arena in Round One.”
