Fowler-Nembhard spent the 2026 season on parental leave, supporting her teammates from the sidelines while welcoming her baby boy to the family.
Speaking about her return, Fowler-Nembhard said she’s super happy to return to the Club after her year off the court.
“I’m stoked to get back out there on court in front of the Green Army,” she said.
“I love what has been built here, our culture and the people around the Club, the people that celebrate us and who we inspire. WA in general always back us.
“I have so much more to give, I have been blessed with a wonderful talent and I just have to share it.”
Fowler-Nembhard’s professional career began with Southern Steel in the ANZ Championship, where she was named Most Valuable Player in her debut season.
Across her career, she has won both League best and fairest honours six times and Club seven times, in addition to two best and fairest awards in the ANZ Championship.
Fowler-Nembhard has played a total 182 National League Games as well as 101 Test Caps for her home country, Jamaica.
She is a member of the 2022 West Coast Fever maiden premiership team and led the squad as Vice-Captain in 2024 and 2025.
In 2025, she became first player to reach 9,000 National League goals, achieving the milestone at a 98 per cent accuracy rate.
On her return to the court, West Coast Fever General Manager Sara Francis-Bayman said Jhaniele is one of the greatest players of all time and has been at her very best in recent years.
“Returning after giving birth, she is determined, hungry and ready to chase another premiership,” she said.
“Her return gives us an unstoppable presence in one point time and forms a vital part of what will be a potent attacking group.
“Just as importantly, her experience, leadership and consistently elite standards will have a huge impact on the group and give everyone around her enormous confidence, we can’t wait to have her back full-time.”
