Versatile mid-court star Jess Anstiss has re-signed with West Coast Fever for the 2022 and 2023 Suncorp Super Netball seasons.
Anstiss recorded 168 goal assists from 267 circle feeds in 2021 and demonstrated her defensive strength with 24 deflections and 42 pickups.
Her contribution to the team saw her named as the recipient of the 2021 West Coast Fever Coach’s Award at last Friday’s NET Ball awards.
Anstiss said she was excited and grateful to have re-signed with the club for the next two years.
“The fact we’ve been able to keep a core group together over the past few years has been great. I’m really looking forward to getting to know Dan and his way of coaching, which is something that’s new and will be exciting for us as a group,” she said.
“I’m also looking forward to getting some more home games next year and playing in front of the Green Army.
“I’d like to thank the Green Army for the ongoing support, whether we are here in WA or over in a hub, we constantly feel the support. We appreciate everyone who has stuck by us during the good and tough times and look forward to achieving that maiden premiership together.”
Anstiss has played 77 national league games since making her Fever debut in 2017, when she won the club’s MVP award in her inaugural season.
