Jess leaves an enduring legacy at Fever, having played 149 games since making her debut in 2017, captained the Club since 2024 and played a pivotal role in delivering Fever's maiden premiership in 2022. She is widely respected and admired by teammates, staff, members and the Green Army, her leadership, resilience and unwavering commitment have helped shape the Club into what it is today.
Fever General Manager Sara Francis-Bayman said: "Jess Anstiss is and always will be one of the greatest players to wear the Green Dress. This has been an incredibly difficult decision and one that comes with a great deal of reflection, emotion and respect," Francis-Bayman said.
"As with all list management decisions, we've had to balance recognising Jess' immense contribution to our Club with planning for the future. Nothing about this decision diminishes the impact she has had on West Coast Fever. She has earned the eternal admiration and gratitude of the Green Army.
"Jess has helped shape the culture and standards of our Club through her leadership, professionalism, resilience and unwavering commitment to her teammates.
"As a premiership player, captain, teammate and role model, Jess has helped build the foundations of the Club we are today and leaves a legacy that will endure for generations of Fever players and supporters.
"On behalf of everyone at West Coast Fever, I sincerely thank Jess for everything she has given this Club.
