The two sides have a history of meeting in finals, having played each other most recently in last year’s Grand Final, the 2024 Preliminary Final, the 2023 Semi Final and the 2022 Grand Final.
Fever are coming off the back of two crucial wins and have plenty of momentum behind them, while the Vixens enter the game off the back of a four-game losing streak.
Both sides have one win apiece in 2026, proving anything can happen on the day.
Head-to-head
What may be the most crucial matchup across the court will be the international battle between Vixen Kiera Austin and 2026 Stacey Marinkovich Medallist Fran Williams.
Austin is known for her ability to completely change a game with her super shot accuracy, while Williams has been one of the standout defenders in the competition this season.
Alice Teague-Neeld is a game-winner in Wing Attack, and Vixens defender Kate Eddy will need to be completely locked in to limit her impact through the midcourt and into goals.
Vixens Goal Defence Jo Weston will no doubt have eyes for Sasha Glasgow, especially when the buzzer sounds for the super shot period. Glasgow shot four super shots in the Semi Final and, if their past matches are anything to go by, a single goal could make all the difference.
From the Court
Head Coach Dan Ryan said the sides have met many times over the years and always produce a great battle.
“We’re expecting a goal-for-goal grind that goes down to the very last minute,” he said.
