Fever lost by one-goal in the final moments of the game, but the Green Army in Rod Laver Arena were loud in voice all night.
“Losing the Grand Final is not the loss that you want to have, especially after how well we had done this season,” Anstiss said.
“We really thought we could do it, we had the belief and confidence, we just didn’t play our best netball.”
The rights to host the Grand Final have been sold for the past four seasons and the 2025 edition was purchased by the Victorian Government in late 2024.
“We knew that they sell the grand final now and that it was going to be in Melbourne and that we had to win away,” Anstiss said.
“It was a bit hard that it worked out to basically be a Vixens home game, but we had so many fans there.
“It took me by surprise walking out and hearing how many people from the Green Army were here, so that was fantastic.”
