West Coast Fever General Manager Sue Gaudion said: “While disappointed to not have Sasha continue at Fever, we respect her desire to seek new opportunities as she looks to take the next step with her international career with the England Roses.
“Sasha’s manager has not closed the door on a return to Fever in the future, which we would naturally welcome given Sasha’s ability as well as being a member of our Club for the past three years.
“We wish Sasha all the best with her netball career, both at SSN level and internationally with the England Roses.”
Gaudion said the Club needed the Collective Playing Agreement (CPA) finalised as that will inform our Club’s list management team about what the salary cap is and for how long players can be contracted.
“There is a great deal of uncertainty in Australian Netball and I am sure like all clubs we are eager for a resolution to the negotiations to lock in certainty for players, clubs and the league and allow everyone to focus on preparations for the 2024 season,” Gaudion said.
“Our Club acknowledges that there is a lot of discussion being generated about SSN player movement but as a Club we will not be responding to rumours. Our commitment to our partners and members is that once we know what is happening with our list for 2024 that will be communicated.”
