Fever and the Melbourne Vixens have a long-standing rivalry, which makes for high intensity clashes.
“It’s a Grand Final rematch, but it’s loaded for different reasons,” Williams said.
“The Vixens are the undefeated team so far, they’re setting the standard in SSN, and we want to go and challenge the best.
“That’s the fuel for us this week, to go have a real good crack at a team who are performing well.”
Williams had an absolute day out in Round Six with 11 gains, five intercepts and five deflections, currently in career best form.
She will face Australian Diamond Kiera Austin who scored 20 goals and three essential super shots in last year's Grand Final.
“I’m locked in on Kiera Austin,” she said
“She’s having a really strong season so far. When she’s up and about Vixens tend to win and she's putting up some clutch super shots for the team,
“Her movement and the way she works with Sophie Garbin in that circle is elite, so trying to stop that impact will be my role on the weekend.”
The opposition team always have the added pressure of playing in front of the Green Army at RAC Arena, something Williams wants to see on Sunday.
“One hundred per cent buy a ticket. Any game against the Vixens is always a great contest, we both bring out the best netball against each other,” she said
“Expect a high-quality match and we can’t wait to see you at RAC Arena.”
