West Coast Fever Goal Shooter Jhaniele Fowler was selected for the second consecutive week in the Nissan Net Points Team of the Round after playing a key role in Fever’s 17-point win over Collingwood on Round 2 of the Suncorp Super Netball season on Sunday.
Fowler scored 58 goals with a 95% success rate and pulled in four rebounds, had 1 pick up and a feed to total 88.5 Nissan Net Points.
She is now second overall on the competition’s Nissan Net Points leader board with a total of 196.5, sitting behind team mate and captain Courtney Bruce on 199.
Fowler also leads the competition for goals with 122 after the first two rounds, 30 ahead of Firebirds shooter Donell Wallam on 92.
Nissan Net Points are Suncorp Super Netball’s stats-based scoring system, run by Champion Data, that measures every player action on the court.
Points are allocated for every statistic and if players make mistakes or cause turnovers, they lose points. At the end of the game, each player receives an individual Nissan Net Points score, which represents their contribution to the match.
