The honour comes almost exactly 10 years after she was inducted into the Australian Netball Hall of Fame.
Plummer became West Coast Fever’s third ever coach in 2012, leading the West Australian side until the end of the 2014 season in the Trans-Tasman Netball League.
When speaking to Netball Australia about the award, Plummer said despite her many achievements, she never thought she would be put in this category.
“It’s the highest accolade you can have in our sport, so I’m pretty chuffed about it,” she said.
As an athlete, Plummer captained Australia in four of her 16 Tests and is part of the renowned 1975 World Championship Team.
Plummer went on to coach the Australian side, at the helm from 2003-2011, guiding the team to World Cup titles in 2007 and 2011.
After her time with West Coast Fever, Plummer took on the Head Coaching role of the South African National Netball Team in 2015, which she held until 2019.
Plummer joins West Australian icon Jill McIntosh AM in the Legends Club.
