Thanks to the support from the Club’s Principal Partner, the Gold Industry Group, and the Department Cultural Industries, Tourism and Sport, Fever will host Game One on Friday, 27 February at Evolution Mining Stadium in Kalgoorlie. The teams will then travel back to Perth and go head-to-head at the Perth High Performance Centre in Mount Claremont.
Gold Industry Group CEO Kristy Reilly said the match reflects the deep connection between the Gold Industry, the Goldfields community and Netball WA.
“Kalgoorlie is the beating heart of Australia’s gold sector, and bringing elite netball back to the region is a celebration of the people, families, and communities who make our industry strong,” she said.
Fever General Manager Sara Francis-Bayman said returning to Kalgoorlie for the first time since 2021 is something the team is excited about.
“Our seven-year partnership with the Gold Industry Group and its members has created incredible opportunities for regional communities, and we’re thrilled to be bringing elite netball back to the Goldfields.”
“The team is looking forward to not only playing but also engaging with the local community as well as our partners in the Gold Industry.”
The match at the Perth High Performance Centre is also a return to the Club’s inaugural home court and provides fans a unique opportunity to see the team in action before Round One.
“We’ve hosted SSN teams at the Gold Netball Centre in recent years, but playing at the Perth High Performance Centre for the first time since 2018 means more of the Green Army can experience world-class netball,” Francis-Bayman said.
“It’s the perfect chance to see the team round off their preparations before our season opener against the Lightning at RAC Arena on Sunday 15 March.”
Tickets for the clash at the Perth High Performance Centre go on-sale on 15 December, while ticket sales for the Kalgoorlie match will be announced in due course.
