The Melbourne Mavericks will make the trip west in what also marks the second weekend of First Nations Round.
Netball teams from across Western Australia and Singapore will attend the game thanks to Netball WA’s Fuel to Go & Play Association Championships, held across the long weekend.
Fever sit one place above the Mavericks on the ladder in third and will be desperate to stay there to secure a home final.
When the sides last met, Fever defeated the Mavericks by 12 goals at John Cain Arena, a commanding performance that should give them confidence heading into this weekend.
Shooting Stars will proudly be Match Day Partner, showcasing the important work they do to empower Aboriginal girls and women.
Head-to-head
Last time these sides met, Romelda Aiken-George and Jessie Grenvold went head-to-head in a fierce battle. Grenvold recorded 11 deflections, but Aiken-George still delivered 50 goals.
Jamie-Lee Price will line up in the centre bib on Saturday, but she will need to match Jordan Cransberg, who produced 37 feeds, two intercepts and a deflection in Round 11.
International teammates will go head-to-head in the Mavericks goal circle when Shimona Nelson and Kadie-Ann Dehaney line up. Dehaney will be tasked with limiting Nelson’s influence and output.
From the court
Young gun Fever defender Ruth Aryang said the key to a win this weekend is just playing the Club’s way.
“For me, it’s just doing my homework and knowing exactly what I need to do against each player,” she said
“Green Army, come down and watch some Saturday night netty, our last home game, why not!”
