Beckford returns to the Club after playing 32 games across the 2024 and 2025 seasons. During that time, she demonstrated her speed and versatility at Goal Attack, forming a strong partnership with Goal Shooter and fellow Jamaican Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard.
The Jamaican vice-captain was an integral member of the silver medal-winning Sunshine Girls at last month’s Commonwealth Games, where her performances were widely praised.
Beckford said returning to Fever felt like coming home.
“The energy of the fans, the culture within the club, and the standard of excellence here are second to none. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to put on the green dress again in 2027,” Beckford said.
“Perth has always held a special place in my heart, and stepping back onto the court with West Coast Fever is an absolute privilege. I’m coming back with even more hunger, experience, and drive to help this team chase success.
“The Green Army is one of the best fanbases in netball, and I am so grateful for this opportunity again. I can’t wait to feel that energy at RAC Arena again in 2027.”
West Coast Fever General Manager Sara Francis-Bayman said the Club are excited to welcome Shanice back to Super Netball.
“Shanice is a big game player, and we saw that on display at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow,” Francis-Bayman said.
“Shanice has an established connection with Jhaniele and experience in this league. Whilst being new this year, she knows the club and will be able to slot straight in and hit the ground running. We cannot wait to see her back in green at RAC Arena.”
