Fever managed an impressive 36-goal margin against the Queensland side, utilising new combinations and a Suncorp Super Netball debut for Ruth Aryang.

The absence of Kelsey Browne (load management) saw Dan Ryan implement new combinations across the court. Captain Jess Anstiss put on the centre bib and Sunday Aryang saw herself in Wing Defence for the first time this season.
Fran Williams was a superstar in defence with two deflections across the quarter, whilst the Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard and Shanice Beckford partnership just continues to get stronger.
Two supershots from Beckford helped Fever build a 10-goal lead at the first change.

Fever’s defence was the star of the second quarter, with Williams three defensive rebounds, Kadie- Ann Dehaney’s two intercepts and a deflection from both Beckford and Jordan Cransberg exciting the Green Army.
Alice Teague -Neeld’s nine goal assists paired nicely with her 12 feeds for the quarter, and Beckford ended the first half with a 100 per cent shooting accuracy for her six goals, including two super shots.

It was the new kids on the block that created the loudest cheers in the third quarter, Olivia Wilkinson made her start with three straight goals and ended the quarter with a total of nine including three super shots.
Ruth collected one defensive rebound, one intercept and two deflections, keeping the pressure on Firebird Donnel Wallam, while her sister Sunday stayed strong with a deflection in Wing Defence.

The fourth quarter saw another new Fever pairing, with Wilkinson and Beckford together in goals, the duo ended the final seconds of the match with a supershot each.
Teague-Neeld’s fantastic game ended with a mammoth three deflections in the final quarter, and a total of 45 feeds and 33 goal assists.
Fever’s huge final score was achieved through the magic of Fowler-Nembhard’s 62 goals, alongside Wilkinson’s 15 and Beckford’s eight.
Fever will now focus on their next home game against the Thunderbirds at RAC Arena on Saturday, May 18.
