Fever started the first quarter strongly, scoring the first four goals of the match and going into quarter time with an eight-goal advantage.
The Giants controlled the second quarter and after five minutes in the third quarter, the home team had drawn level.
From there it was goal-for-goal in the third quarter as both times upped the ante until Power Five.
Fever scored from a defensive rebound from Kadie-Ann Dehaney and then two supershots by Olivia Wilkinson helped the visitors build a five-goal lead at the final change.
By the start of Power Five in the final quarter, Fever were leading by eight when Sunday Aryang capped off a huge defensive game with a superb intercept to help build a lead the Giants couldn’t run down.
Despite two late supershots from Matisse Letherbarrow (eight from 12 attempts) to reduce the margin to nine, Fever had done enough to survive the Giants.
Aryang finished the game with eight Deflections, six Gains, three Rebounds and an Intercept to lead the charge for Fever’s defence.
She was supported by Fran Williams who pulled in four Gains, three Deflections, two intercepts and a Rebound. The pair played a crucial role in the first quarter when the Fever built a strong lead.
The Giants came out on fire after half time after five minutes, scores were level.
Superstar Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard was again the Game MVP and provided a focal point for Fever as she finished with 63 goals.
When she sunk her twelfth for the night, she became the first player to surpass 9,000 National League Goals.
Fever will now return to RAC Arena to host the Queensland Firebirds in Round 8 on Sunday 1 June at 2pm.
