Cransberg made her SSN Debut last season as a COVID replacement against the NSW Swifts in Round 9 and looked at home in the Green Dress and at national league level. She made a second appearance against the Adelaide Thunderbirds in Round 11 showed why she’s so highly rated, providing 22 Feeds, 17 Goal Assists and a match-high 77 Nissan Net Points as Centre.
After signing her three-year contract, Cransberg said: “I cannot wait to be a part of the West Coast Fever team next year, it is an absolute dream come true. I am so grateful to get the opportunity to play with Fever and am so keen to challenge myself against the best of the best. Bring on 2024!”
West Coast Fever Coach Dan Ryan said Cransberg had proved last season that she has what it takes at SSN level.
“Jordan has been such an asset to our team as a training partner and it’s so great to be able to elevate from within our environment. She has really put in the hard yards over the past 12 months and has made the most of every opportunity she’s been given.
“Her ability to play all three mid-court positions makes her such a weapon for us and we now have so many combinations to use to our advantage and really challenge the opposition.”
Wilkinson was part of the Collingwood Magpies team who won the Australian Netball Championship, where she was named the Most Valuable Player in the final.
Wilkinson said it was a surreal experience to secure her first Suncorp Super Netball contract and was looking forward to making her way over to Perth to join West Coast Fever for the next three seasons.
“I’m so overjoyed with happiness, I am super excited to finally get started with all my teammates and I cannot wait to get out on court at RAC Arena in front of the Green Army,” Wilkinson said.
“I am going to bring a bit of my own spark and to soak everything up to develop my game for SSN level. I am looking to learn from all the experienced players and build some really strong combinations.”
Ryan said Wilkinson was one of the most exciting young talents in Australian netball.
“I think this kid has the talent and mindset to be a world beater one day. At just 19 years of age, her poise and maturity are so impressive,” Ryan said.
“She’s 190cm, incredibly athletic, dynamic and can fearlessly shoot the ball from anywhere. She can comfortably play both shooting positions which will add so much value to our shooting circle.”
