West Coast Fever will head to Queensland to take on Sunshine Coast Lightning on Friday 21st February, ahead of the 2020 Suncorp Super Netball season.
The match will be the first competitive meeting for West Coast Fever in the lead up to the 2020 season.
West Coast Fever Head Coach Stacey Marinkovich said preseason matches provide great opportunities for the Club to benchmark our performance against in season standards.
“Off the back of the 2019 season, the Club has gone through an extensive review process to identify our gaps, from which programs have been put in place to strengthen those focus areas,” said Marinkovich.
“Going up against Sunshine Coast Lightning ahead of the 2020 season allows us to test what we’ve been building on in the training environment in a high performance setting and enables us to see where we’re at.”
The match will take place at the USC Stadium, and aims to support netball-specific bushfire relief and recovery projects.
West Coast Fever will also go up against the Giants in March for a preseason match when they head to Kalgoorlie thanks to the combined support of the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, the State Government and the Gold Industry Group.
