Fever led by 11 goals at three quarter time but the Giants came out firing in the final quarter to even scores on the back of three supershots.

With 52 seconds left on the clock, scores were level and Fever had the ball.
The team responded to the moment to control the ball and the game to feed Fowler for her 59th goal and gain a one goal lead.
The Giants had 17 seconds to score and with less than 10 seconds left Vice Captain Jess Anstiss came up with the crucial intercept to deny the Giants the chance to score and secure the points.

The first quarter was a tight tussle as the Giants were boosted by the return of Jo Harten whose presence was big throughout the contest.
Trailing by a goal going into the Power 5, Fever took some control and Sasha Glasgow capitalise with two supershots. While Jhaniele Fowler continued her perfect start top the season with 16 goals at 100 per cent.

The Fever controlled the second quarter and built a handy 10-goal lead with three minutes to play. However, Giants gained the momentum in the Power 5, scoring four supershots to reduce the margin to three goals at the half.

Anstiss’ move to Centre paid dividends as she helped Fever maintain control of the third quarter. While Captain Courtney Bruce pulled down two rebounds, one intercept and two deflections for the quarter.
Teague-Neeld and Glasgow continued to cause headaches for the Giants as they controlled the ball as Fever fed Fowler.
The teams traded goals for most of the third quarter but Fever maintained control to extend their lead to seven goals heading into the Power 5.
While the Giants again took advantage of the supershot, Glasgow matched the Giants three with three of her own as Fever outscored the Giants by four in the final five minutes.
