Fever controlled the first half, leading by seven at the main break before the Thunderbirds fought back in the third quarter.
The sides started the last quarter all square and Fever adjusted their defensive strategy in the final super shot period, which resulted in some gain possession and helped the team come away with a thrilling win.
The Reserves line-up was boosted by the selection of Fever athletes Jordan Cransberg and Olivia Wilkinson, who combined strongly to lead the attack end.
Emma Putt and Game MVP Zoe Cransberg combined well with Wilkinson and Jordan to have a high conversion rate in the first half.
Fever athlete Ruth Aryang also enjoyed an enthralling battle with Thunderbird athlete and Origin Diamonds camp invitee Lucy Austin in Fever’s defensive circle.
The Fever Reserves now face the Swifts at the Gold Netball Centre on Sunday night.
