After a tight first half where Fever held a slender one-goal lead at the main break, they put the foot down in the second half to record their third consecutive win of the Super Netball Reserves season.
Fever young gun Olivia Wilkinson claimed the MVP honours, scoring 35 goals including three super shots. While her combination with fellow squad member Jordan Cransberg was electrifying.
Western Roar shooter Sophia Lamers made her Fever Reserves debut and scored 16 goals at 94 per cent in the final quarter. While Emma Putt added 14 of her own as Fever’s potency in attack had the Giants under pressure.
Fever’s defensive pressure built throughout the game and in the second half suffocated the Giants attack end.
Caitlyn Brown and Ruth Aryang were again at their brilliant best to combine beautifully to deny their opposition.
While Clara Wigley and Zoe Cransberg worked hard in the midcourse to limit the supply to Giants shooters.
The Fever Reserves travel to Melbourne this weekend to play the Victoria Fury following the Fever-Vixens SSN clash at John Cain Arena.
