Star shooters Romelda Aiken-George and Sasha Glasgow will both hit milestones on Sunday, with Aiken-George notching her 250th National League Game and Glasgow with her 50th for Fever.
In Round Four, Fever stunned the Swifts with a 20-goal victory. Despite a rocky first five minutes, Fever fought back and dominated the remainder of the game.
The Firebirds secured their first victory since Round Two of 2025 with a 23-goal win over the Giants.
Last time they met, Fever produced a 17-goal win in front of their home crowd in Round Eight of 2025, something the side will no doubt be looking to repeat.
Head-to-head
Ruby Bakewell-Doran had a day out in their recent win, with nine gains and three intercepts. She will face Sasha Glasgow, who is arguably in career best form, consistently putting out dominant performances and sinking super shots.
Down the opposite end, Kadie-Ann Dehaney will be focussed on containing Mary Cholhok, who scored 62 goals last week. Dehaney has been a class act in her partnership with Fran Williams so far this season and will no doubt challenge the tall shooter.
In the mid court, Macy Gardener will have not one, but two Cransbergs to compete with now that Zoe has rejoined sister Jordan in the squad. The Twins unique ability to rotate the centre bib and consistently have fresh legs is a challenge for any opposition.
From the Court
Head Coach Dan Ryan said the Firebirds have the weaponry to challenge every team in the competition.
“We need to make sure we’re locked into their key players and making sure our own standards are high,” he said.
“And we'll need to really make sure that we're on point with their style, which is probably a relatively seamless transfer from Swift prep into Firebirds prep.”
