Fever are coming off a strong victory at home against the Melbourne Mavericks, which saw the West Australian side finished third and secure a home final.
In a sign of the closeness of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season, Fever finished on the same number of wins as minor premiers the Adelaide Thunderbirds and the second placed Melbourne Vixens with only percentage separating the teams.
The fourth placed Lightning finished the regular season with a two-goal loss of the Thunderbirds in Adelaide.
Sunday’s final will be the third meeting between the teams this season with Fever prevailing on both occasions.
Fever will take momentum into the match with three victories on the road including a one-goal win over the Vixens in Melbourne back in Round 13.
Last week’s Fan MVP Alice Teague-Neeld will be a key player for Fever at Wing Attack but also showed her versatility by moving into Goal Attack for the second half and contributing two supershots in the final quarter.
The Lightning will be looking to their quartet of Origin Australian Diamonds to lead from the front across all areas of the court and the fans will be waiting with anticipation of the match-up between former Fever teammates Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard and Courtney Bruce.
