The top three sides, the Adelaide Thunderbirds, Melbourne Vixens and Fever were all even on points at the conclusion of the regular season with 11 wins and three losses each.
Third placed Fever will take on fourth placed Sunshine Coast Lightning in the Minor Semi Final this Sunday at RAC Arena.
“It’s going to be a great game against the Lightning, a challenge with some really big matchups out on that court,” Ryan said.
In Round Two, the sides faced off in Fever’s first home game of the season where the girls in green took a massive 25-goal win over the Lightning. They met again in Round Eight on the Sunshine Coast with Fever securing a narrow two-goal win.
“Whilst we’ve won our two encounters this season, finals are an entirely different beast. We just want to back our team in to get the job done,” Ryan said.
2024 is Fever’s fifth consecutive finals campaign and Ryan believes they have the confidence to attack the finals series.
“We have got some really experienced players who know what it takes to play in those big games,” he said.
“The team are just excited for the opportunity, it’s going to be great to play at home again,
“We simply want to be better than we were last week, we know that if we are then we will be pretty hard to beat.”
