Fever led from start to finish in a display which sees them cement second place on the ladder after nine rounds.
Superstar Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard lead the charge for Fever with 71 goals. While Jordan Cransberg was influential in the centre with 112 Nissan Net Points including two Gains and an Intercept.
Q1: Fever 22 – Swifts 16
Game began with the much anticipated shootout between Fowler-Nembhard and Nweke, before Fever were able to break the goal-for-goal with the first gain.
From there, Fever were able to control the quarter. After leading by a goal at the start of Power Five, Fever capitalised on missed supershots from the hosts and a team defensive effort from Aryang and Dehaney.
The defensive duo were on fire, combing for three Gains, three Deflections and two Rebounds for the quarter.
Q2: Fever 39 – Swifts 32
The Swifts scored the first goals of the quarter before the goal-for-goal battle resumed.
By the time of Power Five, Fever who had secured goals from turnover, held a seven-goal lead.
Despite two supershots from Housby, Fever capitalised on missed supershots to extend their lead to seven at the main break.
Q3: Fever 59 – Swifts 55
The hosts again started the quarter better than Fever, scoring the first three goals.
As the quarter embed and flow, Alice Teague-Neeld remained constant for Fever. Her eight Feed, seven Goal Assists and composure ensured Fever turned the scoreboard over.
Fever held a four-goal lead at the start of Power Five and maintained it, while Olivia Wilkinson (two) and Housby (three) had a supershot battle.
Q4: Fever 79 – Swifts 68
Dehaney pulled in a massive gain in the opening stages of the final quarter as Fever extended their lead to six with the first two goals on the quarter.
Fever were able to control the tempo of the contest and won ball which they converted into goals to lead by eight goals at the start of Power Five.
A lead they extended to 10 goals earlier in the final five minutes of the match and not even two supershots from Housby could reign the visitors’ lead.
Fever are on the road again next week, travelling to Melbourne to face the Mavericks at John Cain Arena on Saturday.
