West Coast Fever captain Courtney Bruce and goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler have been named in the Round 3 Nissan Net Points Team of the Week after starring in Fever’s comeback win against Sunshine Coast Lightning in Queensland.
Bruce was inspirational in defence with five intercepts and seven gains on her way to recording 80 Nissan Net Points, while Fowler became the first player this season to register more than 100 Nissan Net Points with 59 goals at 97 per cent.
Nissan Net Points are Suncorp Super Netball’s stats-based scoring system, run by Champion Data, that measures every player action on the court.
Points are allocated for every statistic and if players make mistakes or cause turnovers, they lose points. At the end of the game, each player receives an individual Nissan Net Points score, which represents their contribution to the match.
Fans can then vote each week on their individual ‘Game Changer’ from the Team of the Week for a chance to win weekly prizes.
