Fever trailed for much of the first three quarters before taking control of the match in the final quarter.
Jamaican Goal Attack Shanice Beckford played a critical role in the final quarter as she won two strong intercepts and made an important supershot as the visitors overcame a one-goal three-quarter-time deficit.
In the first half, it was Beckford’s fellow Goal Attack Olivia Wilkinson who played a starring role, finishing the half with seven goals and three supershots.

The Vixens jumped out to an early lead off the back of Fever turnovers and both teams’ defensive pressure was high.
The battle between Origin Diamonds Sunday Aryang and Kiera Austin was an important match-up with both players influencing the contest as Aryang made a crucial intercept after a Fever penalty.
Wilkinson made her presence felt at Goal Attack and matched Sophie Garbin with three supershots to ensure Fever remained in touch with the Vixens at the break.
Q2: Fever 30 Vixens 32
Fever started the second quarter strongly as Wilkinson made several long range shots.
By the time the supershot period came around, Fever were three goals in front off the back of some amazing defensive and offensive efforts from Fran Williams at Goal Defence and the work of Wilkinson and Alice Teague-Neeld in the front half.
Williams, Kadie-Ann Dehaney and Aryang were controlling the defensive circle coming up with several gains and rebounds. But it was Vixen Emily Andrew scored two supershots which saw the hosts take a two goal lead at the main break.
Q3: Fever 48 Vixens 49
The Vixens controlled the contest after half time and took advantage of some Fever misses to build a five-goal lead with five minutes to play.
Fever changed their line-up for the supershot period with Captain Jess Anstiss in Centre and Kelsey Browne at Wing Attack influential.
Fever won the Power 5 as Beckford (two) and Jhaniele Fowler-Nembhard (one) matched the Vixens’ three supershots.
Q4: Fever 66 Vixens 62
Two strong intercepts from Beckford saw Fever take the lead early into the final before the sides traded goals as the game opened up.
Fever were able to build a two goal lead going into the Power five before a Beckford supershot and some strong defensive pressure saw the visitors secure a four-goal win.
Fever will take on the Giants in their second game of the Ballarat Blitz from 8am WST tomorrow, Sunday 17 March.
